Workforce Training


Workforce Training focuses on preparing students and professionals to address complex water challenges. Through interdisciplinary training, credentialed programs, and applied learning opportunities, the Water Institute builds skills aligned with evolving workforce needs. These efforts strengthen workforce capacity and support the development of future leaders.

Objectives

Deepen and broaden student engagement in Water Institute programs, awards, and workforce development opportunities.

Develop credentialed, skill-based training and academic programs to meet workforce needs.

What We’re Doing


Supporting students in advancing interdisciplinary research, building a community, and developing professional skills.

Convening teams of faculty and graduate students around emerging topics in water science.

Broadening the skills of graduate students through understanding hydrologic process and management.
