Events – Student Showcase
The Water Institute regularly hosts or partners with other academic units to host seminars, workshops, and other events throughout the school year. In the Fall and Spring semester, the Water Institute holds the Student Showcase, a full day event bringing together students, faculty, and staff. It is an opportunity to discover new research conducted by Water Institute Research and Travel Award recipients and Distinguished Scholar, build connections across departments, and develop professional skills.
Water Institute Symposia
The Water Institute regularly hosts the Water Institute Biennial Symposium to bring together scientists, students, practitioners, policy experts, community leaders, and more to tackle complex water challenges. It has surged in size, visibility, and impact to stand as one of Florida’s most influential water-focused events and a trusted forum for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action on water challenges.
Students are encouraged to participate with an oral or poster presentation, connect with professionals across sectors, and explore recent innovations in solving complex water challenges.
