Statewide Convenings


Statewide Convenings focuses on bringing together stakeholders from across Florida to share knowledge and address common water challenges. Through workshops, symposia, and collaborative spaces, the Water Institute facilitates dialogue, builds partnerships, and supports the co-development of solutions. These efforts enhance collaboration and drive impact across regions and sectors.

Objectives

Increase representation of stakeholders across regions, sectors, and perspectives in Water Institute statewide convenings. 

Expand frequency, formats, and geographic reach of convenings and thought leadership workshops. 

Strengthen partnerships to support the planning, delivery, and impact of statewide convenings. 

What We Are Doing


Convening a biannual symposia for collaboration, knowledge sharing, and coordinated action on water challenges.

Connecting stakeholders to identify needs, share knowledge, and advance interdisciplinary research.

Coordinating the Florida Water & Climate Alliance to connect science and practice and support water decision makers in Florida.

Participating in the Southeast Climate Adaptation Center to deliver science and help adapt to a changing climate.

Hosting seminars, workshops, symposiums, and other events throughout the year.
