Florida’s water resources and ecosystems are increasingly stressed by shifting rainfall patterns, changing water availability, and rapid population and land-use change. These interconnected, complex challenges require cross-sector management collaboration. This working group aims to unite leadership across different sectors to identify and co-develop research priorities that advance integrated, regionally relevant climate adaptation strategies.
Funding: this working group is funded by the Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center, $50,606.
Working Group Cohort
The Water Institute and the Florida Water and Climate Alliance (FloridaWCA) have collaborated with the following organizations to connect leadership across water management, natural resource management, and climate sectors:
- UF/IFAS Nature Coast Biological Station
- Tampa Bay Water
- Southeast Climate Adaptation Science Center (SE CASC)
- United States Geological Survey (USGS)
